MK Shrimper
Striker
Has died, aged 83.
For me, he's like football was in the 70's and 80's, none of this primadonna Premier League bullcrap. Reminds me of The Big Match on Sunday lunchtimes and Jimmy Hill. When Man City were a club I had a real soft spot for rather than a uber-rich Sheikh's plaything that they are now.
A sample of his quotable genius... (nicked from the Beeb)
"A lot of hard work went into this defeat"
"You're not a real manager unless you've been sacked."
"John Bond has blackened my name with his insinuations about the private lives of football managers. Both my wives are upset."
"A lot of people in football don't have much time for the press; they say they're amateurs."
