Ricky Duncan & Kane Ferdinand Q&A Video Highlights

Son of Dominic Iorfa Mtem, Nigeria’s former international and Vice Chairman of Lobi Stars FC, Dominic Iorfa (Jnr) who just signed a two year contract with English Premiership side Wolverhampton is said to be on the wanted list of the English FA for the country’s U-16 team.

Dominic Iorfa (Jnr) who joined Wolves from Southend United FC, his father’s former club in England has signed a six digit contract which will keep him at the club for the next two years.

Before he was grabbed by Wolves, the lanky 15 year old central defender was sought after by leading premiership clubs like Chelsea, Birmingham and Arsenal.

Speaking to Trustsports on condition of anonymity, a close associate of the player’s father said Dominic Iorfa (Jnr) stood a very good chance of playing for either Arsenal or Chelsea, two of England’s leading sides but his father advised him to sign for Wolves.

According to the source, Iorfa senior’s advice was informed by the fact that with Wolves, the youngster would be given greater opportunities to develop his career.

“It’s true some of the leading clubs in England wanted to sign the hard tackling central defender who will be sixteen in August. Clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and Birmingham wanted to sign him but his father advised him to join Wolves.

I also agree with his dad because he stands a better chance of developing his career in Wolves. The club boasts of developmental programmes and that is the right place for the youngster to start his career.

The source further said top officials of the English FA have kept tab on the youngster and are keen on offering him the opportunity to play for the country’s U-16 team.
