Ricketts out Teddy In?

I must admit to being away for a few days and cannot be bothered to trawk through old posts to see if someone has made the connection, albeit spurious, between Ricketts going (on £4000 a week) and the possible imminent arrival of a certain other former England striker (reputedly on £5000 a week). Some of the people I know close to the club insist that Sir Teddy (not Taylor) will be arriving in January, although I have poo pooed this until now. It might be possible that the freeing up of Ricketts wages may just fit the jigsaw........

He lives in Benfleet and he wants to play regular football before he finishes. He's also looking for a way to get into coaching which could be a possibility here (certainly coaching the strikers initially would be invaluable). Plus we know Tilly likes proven ex-International strikers who have played at the top level (Goater/Ricketts) so who knows? I'd love it to happen and it certainly could but I doubt it.

Id love him to come, however would a Freddy/Teddy partnership work ?

Seem to like to play in the same areas ?

yes yes yes and yes:D

Would be a good signing, apart from the fact he has soiled himself playing for W*** H** which has somewhat taken the gloss off his career.

We can get him on loans to give Teddy an games & lift the dressing room, his footballing brain can play everyone in & put them in postion to score as he a great creater of setting up goals & score some himself.

At ages of 40, he should not be a 5th choice at W@nk-Ham.
