Thought i just pass over my views on this player.I've haven't seen player who is so determined or commited down at Brighton for quite some time.He will run and run all day making a big nuisance of himself which you can't fault.
Now the downside to his game.He isn't a prolific scorer, probably get you about ten a season and no more. There seems to be no creativity from him what so ever and most of the time very little end product. He will chip in with a few headed goals, but the majority of his goals will be scored just outside the box.He is a bit of a headless chicken when it comes to football. You cannot rely on him firing you to promotion and therefore you will certainly need another striker. One who gets the tap ins(fox in the box type of player). We got a very good deal from you as the money went towards a much better all round forward in Murray(goal ratio back this up also)
All i'm saying is don't expect massive things from him. It's never going to happen sadly and over time you will spot his flaws like we need.

Played well against Brighton and hit post compared to Barnard who missed a sitter.

Barnard is the more natural goal scorer of the two but at present Revell is showing he has a place in the team for me as gives us a physical presence we lack with Barnard and Walker.

When ?

Brilliant clearance to be fair to the defender but he should have scored.

Indeed. Last season Barnie wouldn't have given the defender the chance of clearing it.

I'm not surprised that he's rusty in front of goal though as that chance, in the last quarter of his fourth game, was probably his first decent goalscoring chance of the season.

True, his header at Carlisle last season was top quality.

He hasn't ad many chances so far, even after only 4 games we haven't a settled side which isn't helping and obviously we miss Gower and Bailey big time.

The goals will come though I'm confident of that.

Good job we arent relying on him to fire us to promotion then isnt it! We have Lee Barnard who will score more goals than Murray!

I doubt he'll get many easier chances over the season. As Jam_Man said, if an unmarked headers two yards out with the keeper in no-man's land isn't a "sitter" then I don't know what is.

If two yards out isnt a sitter not sure what is....

Unfortunately he is going to have to bury any that he gets at the rate we are giving him the ball. Probably shocked he actually received it in a goal scoring position...

Still had a bit to do, Had to stretch a bit for the header then had to get it past the keeper and the defender and you have to give the defender some credit.
