OK!.............we all know that we are not going to make the play-offs but nevertheless, let's play the game and cast an eye on what our competitors are doing this afternoon.

at half-time in the games 'that could be important to us'............

Accrington 1 v Port Vale O (draw or home win best?)
Burton 1 v Gills 0 (that's excellent)
Bury 1 v Cheltenham 2 (that's good)
Macclesfield 2 v Torquay 1 (that's excellent)
Oxford 1 v Crewe 0 (not bad)
Shrewsbury 1 v Wycombe 1 (not too bad?)
Stevenage 1 v Lincoln 1 (not too bad?)

GOAL: East Stirling 1-3 Arbroath : Swankie (63)
GOAL: East Stirling 1-4 Arbroath : Swankie (78)
GOAL: East Stirling 2-5 Arbroath : Swankie (90+1)

Is that a real name!! I see he has scored about 20 goals this season.

SIGN HIM UP!!

Stevenage are 2-1 up
Gillingham have pulled it back to 1-1
Torquay have scored, but still losing 3-2
Oxford have scored another to make it 2-0

6 teams outside the playoffs who are within 5 points of Port Vale ....

FT RESULTS
Accrington 3-0 Port Vale (Accrington go above us and have 2 games in hand, Port Vale Drop out of play-offs but have a game in hand over Torquay)
Burton 1-1 Gillingham (Gillingham move up to 5th)
Bury 2-3 Cheltenham (Bury stay 2nd on GD)
Macclesfield 3-3 Torquay (Torquay move into 7th on GD)
Oxford 2-1 Crewe (Oxford move above us)
Stevenage 2-1 Lincoln (Stevenage move within a point of the play-offs)

We are 4 points off playoffs (5 with Torquay's massive GD), with 9 games left. From that, it sounds do able, but there are 5 teams above us and two of them have games in hand. Still think that the play-offs are on, but will be a very hard task.

In the end best result was Bury losing. Pity that Gills got an equaliser but in general results weren't too bad.........possibly the only on aginst us was Stevenage's home win against Lincoln............ST, you let us down!

Oh look, most results went quite well, lets all be happy again.
I knew this would happen and it will probably happen a few more times in the last 9! aswell!

There are only 6 points separating Shrewsbury in 4th place and us in 13th. This division is wide open ---- the play-offs are still a possibility for any of the 10 teams involved.

The great thing is the playoffs haven't moved further away in terms of points. Points are so much more important than games in hand.
