I'm sure most of you know about Movember, if you don't it's an annual event to raise money for Prostate & Testicular Cancer and male Depression where blokes are sponsored to grow moustaches.

Well I'm taking part this year and I'd really appreciate it if any Zoners would sponsor me. You can do that by clicking this link http://mobro.co/jonathanoliff you can read my motivations there and I'll be posting photo updates as I go along.

Thanks for reading,

Drastic.

As nobody followed me in taking Viagra permanently to support my campaign against erectile dysfunction throughout last month during Cocktober I shall not be growing a moustache.

I have not got a charity for it but will do it anyway for a laugh

TB, Movember raises money for men's health issues, including Prostate Cancer, Testicular Cancer & Depression.

I've since found that there's a football league network on the movember site, with a league table of money raised by clubs supporters. Blues are currently joint bottom with £0 raised, if a few of us joined up and got sponsored we could easily make the top 10 at the moment - Leeds are 10th with £80 raised...

Well Movember is at an end and I'm pleased to say I was sponsored £125, I was hoping to get £100 so i did ok.

Didn't hear anything about any Southend players doing it, other clubs got really involved, like Craig Easton's Torquay where the whole squad did it I think. Suprising that SUFC didn't do anything when you consider that Neil Harris had testicular cancer, maybe those that are have contacts at the club could suggest it for next year.

Well done you, there was a pic a couple of weeks ago (not sure where, whether it was on the OS or in the Echo) of 7 people at the club who were doing it....Harris was one of them, Freddy another. Ben Clarkson did too, but I can't remember who the other 4 were. I'm sure in previous years Barks, Phillips and Timlin have done it, but I think there's that old superstition thing to take into account, and while we've been winning with them "shaven", they've probably wanted to stick with that.
