Our last 10 league matches have produced 8 points. We have 23 matches left to play. At the current rate we will amass another 18.4 points. Added to the 37 we have, that will give us 55.4 points - too close for comfort.

I propose the immediate dismissal of Tilly and Brush, the return of Drewe and Tes as interim managment team, and that we should set up a Fan's Council to decide on who to offer the manager's job to.

Clearly, it will have to be Chaired by Wiggy - but who else from SZ should be on it? Nominations below please, indicating which position on the council and why.

I've been supporting Southend for nearly 40 years. I ain't no pessimist, I'm a realist!

Anyway, I thought that I would just anticipate some of the more doom-laden threads with a doom-laden thread of my own!

... that extra 0.4 of a point could be vital

Promotion was never mentioned in the summer, hence we are playing "above" ourselves at the moment. Lets get to the 50 point mark, and think about consolidation.

Try managing Southend on Football Manager 2006, its like real life, our defence not pacy enough to cope with team that are quick on break - ok in midfield & with the right service from Cole, Gower & JCR, Goater & Freddie scoring 46 goals between them with Grays chipping 13 goals for SUFC. In end, I beat Brentford 4-3 on Pens which is enough to win promotion to Championship with Swansea & Nott'm Forest.

Signing Matt Lockwood in Jans make an massive different for Southend on FM2006!
