There is little in the way of history to look back on between the two clubs. We’ve played twice, last season, and both matches finished as away wins – a record we’d like to extend by just one match. Harry Cardwell scored in both matches.

Saturday's referee is 36-year-old, James Westgate from Washington, on the outskirts of Sunderland.

He’s in his second season as a National League referee. Last season he did 12 games with 39 yellows and no reds. He didn’t appear to have caused too much concern in those matches, one of which was our 2-1 home victory over Kidderminster when there were few complaints as is so often the case when we win. It was also 2-1 in yellows, this time to them. Taylor picked up our one. Another one was our away match at Gateshead (little there in the way of travel expenses!). By all accounts a very good performance in this away draw and they picked up the game's only yellow card.

He was also appointed to our match at Eastleigh last season but there was a late replacement.

This season his two matches so far have been somewhat different. Fourteen yellows (10 to away players) and a red (also an away player). Maybe he’s changed his approach, maybe Solihull and Tamworth are not particularly well-behaved teams !

Assisting are Joe Simpson, the Head of Partnerships and Sponsorships at JD Sports, and Alex Gray, both from Manchester. Fourth Official is Ben Robinson from Stafford.
