The referee for Sunday's game is none other than Nigel Miller, who impressed Dennis Wise so much when he took charge of our game against Leeds at Roots Hall in March. His performance prompted Wise to say "I've had problems with him before. I told him I don't want him as a referee again. I hope there was an assessor here and I hope they put him down a couple of divisions".

Miller is not too well-liked by Saints fans either, as he dished out 8 cards between the 71st and 86th minute of Southampton's game at Derby in September 2005, as well as sending Harry Redknapp to the stands. One of the 8 cards he issued was to.... Dennis Wise!!!!

intresting stats 103 yellows cards & 10 red cards so far he is certainly not liked by them as you have indicated just looked at there forum www.thesaintsforum.co.uk

apart from the ref they not we have noted we may not have freddy playing on sunday and they seem to be hoping for a high scoring game

He can't be that bad then, if I was a ref I'd send Wise off for turning up, and banish Redknapp to the local tip.
