Saw him score the goal that beat Norwich in August 58 just before he left.

There were more than 15,000 there that day and you couldn't avoid being hooked for life if you were there (well I couldn't avoid it anyway).

What a game and what a player. My other favourite at that time, Sam McCrory was also playing and the atmosphere was superb.

We lost the next three games 10-1 (cumulative) - some things don't change.

Think my first ever game may have been the first game of that season against Reading at a kid friendly kick off time of 6pmish.
