Reality Check

Tangled up in Blue

Certified Senior Citizen⭐🦐
FWIW, I think this is likely to be the defining week or so in our
season, both on and off the field.
Not so much for the Barnsley game-though it would be great to knock
them out and get a mouthwatering draw in the 5th round.
Especially after only getting a replay off them in the third round
match last season at a rainswept Roots Hall in a game we fully
deserved
to win first time round.
More important though, is can we pick up precious league points at
dodgy places like Hartlepool and against the big boys like Leeds?
If we can't,we'll be a lot further away from a play off place than
the
current 5 point gap.
Turning over a poor Bournemouth team is one thing. But lets face it
they're bottom of Division 1 and almost certain to go into
administration this season.A far cry from Sean O'Driscoll's fine team
that came down to the Hall 2 seasons ago and gave us a real run for
our
money in an excellent game.
Can we pick up points against teams who are up for it when we are
clearly short of at least one, if not two, goalscoring strikers?
If we don't bring at least one quality forward into the club before
the window
shuts, the next 10 days or so could see our whole season stutter to a
halt.
UTB,

we should look at it one game at a time. barnsley on a friday night is going to be a good night out and really hoping to get through to the next round. so we as fans can get a big team and also get sum funds in for the club. would be a huge bonus. nothing to lose!

<we'll be a lot further away from a play off place than
the
current 5 point gap<

Before some pedant mentions it I am aware that the gap is actually 6 points
:-)
