One question on usernames. While mine works well for me on account of several grandchildren and an ever-expanding waistline, which of the teams referenced in your username gets your most passionate support?

Braintree, I would imagine.

I am also very happy with this.

So far Ranger has been very good for the club ........... and it seems the club has been good for him. Excellent.

I do agree that we need another striker. I do not have that much faith in Mr Mooney or Mr Williams and that leaves Ranger, Cox and Fortune to share the workload and not get injured or suspended.

Sorry but I can't just let such nonsense pass!-Bracketing Mooney with Williams!
Mooney has always looked good when played with another capable striker and now we have 3 of them!
I've been highly impressed by both Cox and Fortune',but suspect a fit Mooney could outscore either of them alongside Ranger.

Im very happy with this news and wish Nile every success with my club,i dont like the talk about him being sold ,2 months ago i was beginning to think that PB wasnt the man for the job here at SUFC ,but have come to realise that he and RM are quietly putting together a squad that can push for promotion maybe just a playoff position this season ,but i can see us being a real threat next season,RM has his share of bad threads here but since i hve been on Shrimperzone ,to me he is doing a good job ,we are still alive and now in division one and more than holding our own, we are not a rich club ,but he seems to be managing the finances well, must be to be able to afford some of the talent we have.Time to give both RM and PB some credit people, we have players with calibre at the club now and not just kourneymen, look at Mc Laughlin, Wordswoth,Cox ,Coker,Ferdinand,Demetriou,Leonard,Fortune, and some younger talent coming through the ranks also,Thompson,Bridge, and the young fella scoring goals from midfield in the u/21s,we have some very good squad players also Timlin, kyprianou also a youngster with talent the running man also a goalkeeper who apparently is just improving all the time plus young Smith as backup,I think we are in a very good position and will god willing only get stronger.

Yes, Just 2 months ago you demanded people to explain themselves for the crime of not voting Brown out. I believe it was AndyT who wrote a decent post about not sacking the manager. Its about time you replied, as you couldn't be bothered back then.
Don't be an arse, when we were crap there were plenty of posts you didn't reply to when asked,. No I'm not going to dig them out as I'm not that sad and frankly have better things to do ( I still like your match reports though, I can judge posts on their merits , and this one is poor)

It wasn't red it was yellow. No appeal on yellow cards (except for mistaken identity (?)).

Well there's surprise a ref gets it wrong and accuses me of arguing black is white and ends up claiming.......Red is Yellow.

Your arguing to different points. Nobody has to answer anything if they don't want to and sometimes they might not even have read the post anyway.

But if you do demand an answer then at least acknowledge that person. In this case Ricey went through the results and wanted to know why five people had voted for Brown to stay. I thought it was poor form for a moderator not to reply.

By the way I also have to thank Ricey...I did answer many posts when, as you put it we were crap. You can often still see snidey little remarks added to peoples posts as we improve. I have also had some PM's that have been abusive, one poster was sending them regularly. I did suggest he stick to the forum and I would answer but he refused as they would be deleted.

Anyway Ricey was the man who stepped in and now this person doesn't post or contact me anymore.

The good news is the team are climbing up the league and RH and the Zone are better places to be (for now).

We are all pleased with Nile's progress so far. But he would be the first to admit its down to all the players and staff that we are on this 8 game unbeaten run. We are certainly not just one man team. As my man of the week.....Will Atkinson proved.

Interesting point - we have not seen Mooney alongside Ranger yet so who knows.

For me Mooney alongside Cox didn't quite work though - but with a more settled and balanced midfield and defence it might be different now.

By the look of our players on twitters, like Wordsworth & Thompson, they are over the moon that Ranger signed with us for longer, say something about the impact of Ranger on our squads!
