Ranger insists he is fully fit and ready to fire Blues up the table

Could a new Blues cult player be born at Roots Hall on Saturday? I so want this to be what happens.

Nice interview, he comes across well. Fingers crossed he can achieve what he wants and get his career back up and running with a bang. We'll all benefit if he does.

I've never wanted a signing to work out more than this one. He is a hell of a talent and someone who could be financially rewarding for us if he does really well.

I worry how much already as a fan base we are basically depending on him to save our season. I hope he does well and he sounds desperate to do well but he's got a very chequered record.

Really want it to work out for Ranger, from day one he's said all the right things and had unfortunate luck with injuries. I think he will also bring out the best in Simon Cox

Pretty sure that everyone on SZ wants Ranger and Cox up front to start on Saturday,

If you're reading this Phil just do it !! (And no this is not code for 'Play Mooney up top on his own' )

TBH its the perfect scenario. Someone who had it all there in front of them, all the talent, screwed up big time, and was then given a last chance. We are not there yet by a long chalk- but could be one our best ever signings.Only met him once- went out of his way to say hello to a disabled lad and others at GWR. If its the case he is also living locally now as well, nothing would give more more pleasure than seeing him turn things around (and we have a 1 year option I understand). However, when 'bad boys' find a home they often become very fond of it- one Stanley Collymore anyone?

Ranger has probably bowled into PB's office, told him he is fit, hungry and raring to go.

PB (with a huge smile) has said "that's fantastic, it's just the sort of attitude and desire I am looking for...

unfortunately, Saturday i'll be sticking with one up top (Mooney) but you'll definitely have a spot on the bench!"

In all seriousness, if Ranger doesn't start Saturday, expect pressure to be even more intense on PB if result doesn't go right way.

If Ranger is fully fit he should start along side Cox,even for 60 minutes to begin with ,then sub him and bring on fortune to partner Cox if he isnt tired ,otherwise sub the pair of them for Fortune and Mooney, play an attacking formation PB ,let the supporters see an attacking display of football, you have the personnel in the squad to be able to really put on a show.PB even a scoreline of 4-3 either way is better than 1-0 either way.give the players license to attack, you maybe surprised at the result and the display they will put on.
