First game at the Hall of the new decade lets give the lads a rousing cheer when they come out.

Double efforts expected of W block to get things going people!

Special efforts towards Scott Spencer if he plays and it goes without saying Lee Barnard and the rest of the team.

This should be a bread and butter win this, but nothing is that simple and that does not mean we can be relaxed in the stand so I am calling on the South Upper and Lower as well as the East to try your best to bring some volume to the party Saturday.

One last thing if we do go a goal down don't let your heads drop this is when the team need us most!

Now that is something i will be looking forward to.

Anyway, got a good feeling about Saturday, and that's vary rare for me. I'm feeling us to score 3 or 4.
 
Hope Francis gets a big thank you for staying with us. Hey would be nice to get Ron Martin out to thank us for standing by him, despite his lies. UTB
 
Right, I can't wait for this game, but it won't be as easy as some people think.

Remember previous years when teams have come to Roots Hall for a point, and fluked a 1-0 win. Remember Crewe doing exactly the same thing last season.

They are going to make it difficult for us to break them down, so the likes of Laurent, Francis and Barnard are going to have to be at the races.

I'm expecting a win, but it wont be a formality. They will be fighting for their League One lifes.

I think us fans are just as guilty, if not more, than the players in these types of games. Against the likes of Leeds, Norwich, Southampton etc we make a real effort to get behind the side and be the 12th man, but the likes of Wycombe, Crewe etc we just sit there expecting it to happen. We need to be on our games on Saturday just as much as the players. If we don't score by half time, raise the roof a little more. If a pass goes astray, encourage the player don't get on their backs.

Watching Newcastle on Monday night, 20 minutes gone and the crowd was moaning at passes going backwards and sideways, it was incredible. We need to be 100% behind the boys and roar the team onto 3 points.

C'mon Southend!!
 
With Spencer being brought off in the first half against Ipswich in the reserves having scored AGAIN i'd love to see him start with Walker.

The lad had never scored a football league goal, and I know its early days but with 3 goals in 2 games in the reserves and a goal last week in a 10 minute debut surely he deserves a run out from the start.

Freedman isn't going to set the world on fire, we know that, and if Barney is on his way out the door i think we need to take a gamble on Screech and the goals might just start coming. UTB

THIS IS ALL ASSUMING BARNEY ISN'T IN THE SQUAD FOR WYCOMBE

even if he has one of his nightmares we must get behind francis. and the rest of the team. Even if Patterson and Spencer play and are brilliant lets not forget Francis (again)
