Just back from hollibobs having missed a huge week for SZFC.
Firstly we got £1.2m for our YP, a bidding war between two clown trainers erupted. Marvellous!
Then, we played our crucial last game in which we needed a point to survive, rather than going for the point with our 5-4-1 pressing, I decided to be adventurous and try to win with possession. They played 3-4-3 AIM with wingers towards the middle so I played 4-5-1 AIM with wingers and wing backs towards middle, won the possession war (59%) and took the game 3-0 with my formidable striker getting his first ever goal after god knows how many matches. Thanks to ORM for keeping me updated on that one as I was sunning myself with no net access!
So now we face a qualifier but they don't look all that so I should survive. Nonetheless it hasn't stopped us splashing out £650k on a 19yo Outstanding IM. Weak stamina but we're training that at the moment anyway so with three weeks before the start of next season he should be at a respectable level while the rest of the team will be pressing geniuses
Also expanded the stadium to 50,000, we don't need it at the moment but I had the cash and the costs are rising so it made sense.
Only downside was the stamina training caused a +1/-11 shift in form, ouch! Oh and my YP was crap for once, a passable striker, might get £2k for him.
