My friend has sent me a cd from Aus full of snaps...When I load it, it opens in Adobe photo shop....(well that is the default it opens in) but just gives me a list of the 200 odd photos and I seem to be able to only open one picture at once and it just adds it to my previous photos.....Is there a way I can create a file and see them all in one go like when you download from your camera??

Cheers for any help lads.

John.

i think what you need to do is put in the cd, let photoshop load up if you like but then close it down. Then go into My Computer, and right-click on the CD drive icon and select either Open or Explore (can't remember which). One of those should let you open the CD like a normal Windows folder- then you should be able to view all the pics, copy them to your hard drive, etc. hope that helps.

Load the CD into the drive, right click on the drive and click 'copy', then paste to a folder in your documents. When you open this folder, you should be able to access the photos.

davewebbsbrain's plan sounds like a good'un. If you're just getting a list, go to the 'view' menu at the top of that window and you should be able to change it to thumbnails or slideshow.

Top Banana Lads.....Now Question 2 :p

When I have been opening pictures lately they try to open in "word" for some reason and not adobe or whatever. How do I get rid of them opening there and open where I can see then without having to right click and select adobe.

Poss rep to both of you.
Thanks very much.

John.

Doesn't it work if you right click and open with then select Adobe then won't it automatically do it for the rest of the files??

I assume they have been saved in word no idea mate sorry I can't help you with that one.

As long as your logon is with admin rights, you should be able to right click on a file and when it asks what to open with, there is a box you can mark for always open with this!
