Next up is another battle that is surely too close to call, MKs The Stone Roses vs Ulysses and The Clash

Ok I won't lie, it's a tough choice - The Clash are one of the finest bands this country has ever produced and they've knocked out some cracking tunes and this is a seminal album.

But The Stone Roses captured a moment in pop history and literally invented the Indie scene as we know it today. They turned kids from listening to the plastic pop of Stock, Aitken & Waterman and made guitar bands with attitude cool once more.

As good as The Clash were, and as much as I love Joe Strummer, they were spawned by The Sex Pistols, and not something that can be said of Brown, Reni, Mani and Squire, four very different people who brought us a truly exceptional album with outstanding, brilliant songs.

Vote The Roses!

Despite being knocked out by The Stone Roses in the last round I can bear no grudges about an album which defined my youth. The haircuts, the clothes and even the way I walked was down to this album and band.

Actually my first choice was Stone Roses but Mr MK had got there first. Not looking good at this moment in time.

This is a joke, yeah? It's not my favourite Clash album, but let's see... we've got the title track, Rudie Can't Fail, Spanish Bombs, The Right Profile, Train in Vain and the wonderfully under-stated 'Lost In The Supermarket, Joe's "gift" to Mick, all which embarrass the pants out of this 'indie' hyped nonsense. Oh, "...it was the soundtrack to my youth...'' Frankly, my dears, I don't give a damn. Get real, get sorted, get the vote out...for The Clash, the only band that mattered! You heard it here- you know it makes sense!

Calm down granddad! :cricko:

Vote The Stone Roses, pure, unashamed brilliance!

Although I have voted for it, there wasn't half some self-indulgent **** amongst the brilliance on The Stones Roses album.

My generation fought the punk wars for you lot... and this is how you repay us?! Now go get your haircut and do your national service! :stunned:

Not cool hair.
