I found a cracking little boozer 10 minutes from the away end on my last visit, cheap beer friendly locals and a pool table .. IIRC stand on the main road with the stadium in front of you head off to your right and its tucked away in a side street on the right

According to a chap at work who comes from Lancs, the police in town like Preston, Burnley, Bolton and Wigan are not too keen on away fans gathering in the town centres. I am heading for a pint in the pub by the station before the game.

Preston Season ticket holder at work definatly advices to avoid Meadow Street. Friendly Summer and Royal Garrison both ok as is The Railway.
