I ordered the 60gig from shopto.net on thursday night and it should arrive today :p

I think I heard that it hasn't got backward compatibility, so watch out for that. Otherwise, darn good deal.

And don't expect a good experience on line. The Sony servers are woefully inadequate for the job. Given time they'll improve but they have a long long way to go to get anywhere near the experience offered by Microsoft's Xbox Live.

It's really odd they removed the backward compatable part (only from the 40GB btw) , as its software driven in europe so its no "cost" per sa ??

299 isnt bad for the 60gig model but nothing really included with that. GameStation are going the 60gb for 349 with a couple of games and a couple of BluRay films.

Fair enough, but I haven't heard any other complaints from people and I regularly visit a site with many posts about the ps3 online.

Maybe you just have wireless :confused:

Which is why I'm going to put the words "60 GB" in block capitals, bolded, and about three times the size of the rest of the document when it comes to the Christmas list.
