Echo News Proud Shrimpers supporter pins banner to gates at Roots Hall

I did have quite a few moments before and during the game yesterday where there was a few tears in my eyes. To see so much support for my little club, our little club. 12 months ago, the night of the bond issuance by the NL, which just wasn’t feasible to pay, I honestly thought that it was finished. I hope in years to come that my memories are of how I felt in those teary moments, and not in the 110th and 112th minutes.

So we should be proud of the club. The players, the coaches, manager, back office and all that still turned up everyday under Ron Martin. And COSU - by not walking away 12 months ago, they enabled yesterday and days like it for 30k shrimpers. I wonder how they all felt?
