Proud of them

Shrimp Sarnie

Youth Team
flavs- looked very confident last night 8/10

hunt- got stuck in and passed the ball well 8/10

hammel- maybe exposed by gower drifting looked streched 7/10

Sodge- usual commited perfomance but is always an inch away from giving a freekick or penalty 7/10

Spinner- legend 9/10

jcr- 10 for effort but for perfomance 7/10

Maher- needs to boss the midfield more 7/10

super mac- as maher but did defend well 7/10

gower- unlike jcr 7 for effort exposed hammell and didnt create much 6/10

freddy- little bit eratic but showed how dangerous he is needs to relax a bit 7/10

bradders- hes either not fit enough yet or hes not good enough wasnt impressed gave the ball away couldn't chase or creat any space for fred 6/10

on the face of it confidence will be low and that showed but they can do it if they believe in themselves and relax.

sky sports 10/10 good spotlight on freddy and they talked him up well if he does go it will be thanks to sky, not in a bad way but they are adding to his status with good coverage.

mike newell 10/10 for looking like a arrogant brian clough wannabe hopefully he will leave causing luton to drop to the bottom

Brought a mate along to the pub i was watching it in last night, and at first he ****ed himself when he heard Spinner was still playing for us. He left the pub surprised...

He was absolutely class last night. A real rock at centre back and his experience showed, exactly what we need at this time.

If Freddy had netted either of his chances, it wouldve been 3 points well earned.

Can we please stop talking about what could have been? I'm sorry, but having just seen Hull take an early 2-0 lead against Cardiff, those misses are looking more and more costly.

thought this was the best team we had put out for ages was happy to see Lewis Hunt replace Francis who IMO has been dire lately. Lewis has been chopped and changed and has put in 100% effort wherever he is put and last night he played well and i thought the back four looked solid.

Its got to be same line up for Spurs on Wed - hoping for another giant killing or at least a respectable score and an admirable performance.

Thats a tad harsh on Newell, thought his anaylsis of the game was pretty much spot on in my opinion. I have a lot of time for what he has done and he is one of those who doesnt just churn out the usual manager quotes when being interviewed.

As for us, well we played OK, no more than that, especially as we were up against a very poor Luton side, but we didnt take our chances, Freddy's in the last minute and McCormack's early on, and in the current situation, that is just not good enough.

Regardless of the fact that Hull are winning 3-0, we have to win games and we wont get a better opportunity to win away from home this season.... I think that game may just have cost us more than any other so far.

The home defeat to Hull surely takes that accolade.

*shudders as he casts his mind back to that miserable evening*
