Printing

Having a bit of a problem with my printer at the moment. It's fine when I want to print word documents and all other documents, but it's just when I want to print pdf files from the uni info-server.

All my computing lecture notes are in pdf, but the printer wont print them. It'll send, but the printer will only feed sheets through and not actually print anything onto them.

Is there a problem with my printer, or has it got something to do with the pdf file?

Think there's an option in Acrobat that you need to switch on to print some .pdf files. I had a similar problem at work a few months back and if you switch it over (think the option is "print as per page" or something similar) then it works, although I think it's a whole slower process to print!

Can't you just change the file type to a Word document or something?

And what's a pdf anyway? Adobe?

God I hate that programme. Far too fiddly. Mind you, it's not Microsoft so I should expect as much.

Microsoft might jam their software with bugs, but at least it's simple to use. Except for Excel. Never got my head completely around that.

Ok cheers. Ive managed to switch it over to a word document now, bit fiddly but it's done now.

I'll remember that for future reference. I seriously dont know why he keeps on saving his work to bloody pdf anyway!

Alright, alright, I avoid Adobe like the plague if at all possible, so I think I can be excused the inevitable neg repping.

Because it's far too fiddly and annoying. Cant even use the central button on the mouse to scroll through it, you've got to click and drag all the time.
