Looking to buy some printer catridges for my HP printer (which are not cheap) so I can print some photos out and have them on the mantlepiece the old fashioned way, so instead I see a Lexmark printer that is roughly (save for a couple of quid) the same price as the catridges themselves.

Now I check how much the Lexmark replacement catridges are and they are more expensive than buying the printer again with them already in!

Crazy. So when I run out of printer ink, dump a perfectly working printer into a landfill and buy a brand new one. Carry on ad finitum. Goodbye world.

I *think* the cartridges that come with printer are low filled ones and ones you buy in shops as as replacement print for far longer

Ah makes sense.

Just bought two refill catridges for my old clunky printer off Ebay for £14.99 so I guess it pays to surf while you "work" :)
