I'm going to say 2-0 Southend. Eastwood to score within 5 minutes but plays badly for the rest of the game. Blues have to deal with a tough Wycombe onslaught until Tes comes off the bench to tap in with 5 minutes to go to send the Southend Faithful wild!

I predict a cracker of a game on a pudding of a pitch. The Southend defence, playing the unacustomed "Christmas Tree" formation, makes a present of two early goals to Wycombe, and for a while the traveling shrimpers pine. The ref then impersonates Santa Claus and gifts us two penalties with a couple of sage decisions, to avert a stuffing. Eastwood proves to be a bit of a turkey on the day, and is subbed for Dudders.
