Potential Transfer Targets?

So Forest have released four players, including Arron Davies who had a very productive 3 year spell with Yeovil, and he can play on either wing or as a striker (Tilson type of signing?) Here is his profile:

Also, I saw a young left back was released from them called Joe Heath, who was very highly rated previously. A left back that hasn't been able to force his way in at Forest, but would be a cheap option if we can't afford to bring in Billy Jones from Crewe. Here is his profile:

He has really struggled at Forest after moving there with Chris Cohen after the two of them destroyed Forest in the League One play-offs a few years back, and probably just needs a fresh start. Still only 25/26. Lots of football left in him. Would add some width and pace on the left hand side, allowing Moussa to be rested, or compete for a spot in the middle of the park.

Same as you, I know nothing about Heath but I thought I'd add him as well as a left back, especially with Malone's loan running out after the weekend, and Herd still injured.

If the £200k to Southampton (& the £60k from the trust is true) PLEASE can a decent element of it go to getting him in.

Not sure where you have got that from.

Davies is a fleet footed winger, with a bit of pace, and Mark Bentley was a powerhouse in the middle of midfield who did a job for us out wide. Two completely different players in my eyes.

I'd love our left hand side to contain Billy Jones and Arron Davies. Would give us some balance to the side, and means we would be able to look left, rather than the first pass always looking for Francis.

I'm hoping that isn't the case.

No doubt it is, and we will result to yet another young left back on loan in place of Herd.

Malone's deal is up after the weekend isn't it? Also, I think we still have an extra month that we can extend the deal by, thats the case isn't it?

Not been impressed with him to be honest. Would have much prefered Billy Jones to come in.

God I sound like a doom and gloom merchant and i really hope I am wrong, but I will be absolutly amazed if we sign anybody from another club this season.

We are nowhere near good enough to go up and hopefully just too good to go down - and I would bet that RM is hoping that we can tread water until FF comes true and some money gets freed up.

All these false hopes about signing players get me all excitde only for reality to kick me in the privates and realise that we have no money and until FF comes true no ambition - just how Tilly can stay motivated then i just don't know!!

Indeed looks like Jones is off to Daggers. The fact that Crewe want some money for him has probably stopped us buying him!
