Poppy Shirts

A Century United

Highland Exile
I see that the Poppy-embroidered player worn shirts that were on a minor no-mark auction website whose name cannot be mentioned have now all sold, raising a grand total of:

£4753.01

Superb effort from everyone who bid, and especially well done to the winners. Top price went to Sir Adam's shirt, £510, while Francis Laurent's shirt fetched an impressive £410, just beating Peter Clarke, whose shirt made precisely £400.

Was gunna put a bid on Scannell's at the last minute as it was one of the cheapest but I forgot :D

Think his went for around £255.00, I think I bid on almost every single one and am really pleased I managed to get Betsy's as I like him as a player :) But I am glad I got the opertunity to give my monies to such a great cause.

I've i'd had the funds available I would have bid on Barrett's as I it was going to a good cause but would have been happy with anyone's.

That's exactly what I thought and strangley enough Kevin Betsy's was the first one I stuck a cheeky bid on. I was also bidding on them for a friend's fiance that wanted to get one for my mate but they all went out of her price range.

Atleast if all of a sudden you dont like Betsy, you can frame the front of the shirt and think ' What a good cause this went to ' :)

 Well done winners

LOL! Good point, now that is the thing I don't know what to do frame the front or back?

Being as his missus has just given birth, you ought to share a few words with him and get him to sign the thing.

I thought they were signed anyway? I swear I read on the OS that they would come signed.

Has his misses just given birth?

From Barrett's banter in today's Echo

I WOULD like to offer my congratulations to Kevin Betsy who became a father for a second time over the weekend.
His other half gave birth to a baby daughter, which is his second, and I wish them all the best and hope everyone is well.

Hmmmm strange that, they mentioned about Sawyer becoming a Dad on the OS but yet they haven't with Betsy?

I read somewhere that they were signed but don't think it was on the listing, could have been the email that goes out.

If they are signed it should be on the front.

For some reason I thought this ended today. Oh well.

Would have had a bid or two, but to be honest I'm quite surprised with the sale price on these.

Well done all.

Just had a look at the auction for the Hartlepool shirts and look what they are doing for the winners.

The winner of the auction will also receive two match tickets for the Pools v Bristol Rovers game on Tuesday 25th November. The player will then present the winner with his shirt (subject to availability).
