About a month ago I started playing texas hold'em poker for the first time, never played poker before and now im hooked on it and have become quite good on it. I got sent a cd from bet365 poker so installed that and ive been winning more than ive been losing. I played in my first tournement last night which was free and paid up to 300th with 6000 people entering, first prize was $950 but I finished 526th

Just wondering if anybody else plays really. I saw a while ago somebody mentioned playing a shrimperzone tourny which would be good.

I watched all the poker million final on Friday and I held a poker night round mine last night. I didn't win though unfortunately...
I'm starting to get a little hooked. Which is a bit of a worry when you have no money.

I was at the poker million party  

Had a superb night, won a VIP package on Ladbrokes and got a night in the Hilton Metropole hotel. Also was free beer for most of the night which I took full advantage of!

I arranged a couple of Shrimperzone tourny's a couple of months ago but the most we got were 6 people playing.

If the interest is there I'll set up another one.

Tuesday 30th August would be a good date, 9pm start was better for the people who played before. If you want in let me know and I'll set it up.

I placed 275th in the Bet365 freeroll last night, $4.50

Once you start playing for a while, you just get really bored with the freeroll's. Constantly getting outdrawn by the newbies (which is fair enough) so try and avoid them although i did play in the big weekly one last night on Bet365.

Im up for bringing the weekly tournament back as there was a real lack of interest last time. Only the 6 of us.

Had a bit of bad weekend really, keep getting outdrawn (esp. with AK -vs- AQ). Worst one was a hour back when i flopped the Full House on the BB with 43. Some bloke had a pair of 77's and eventually were all in. He needed 1 of 2 7's left in the deck. It came on the turn. Then a few minutes later, I've got AA and the other chap has KK ... Q Q 10 ... Turn (you guessed it) K and thus made him a FH with another 2 outer!!

Just flopped another Full House. Had a couple of ducks and flop comes 3 3 2. All in after raises and re-raises. Other chap has A3 suited. Turn ... A. What is going on!? Baaaaad day.
