Poker Tournament - 23 / 01 / 06

[The General]

We've tried a couple of times to get this going but we've only had like 8 of us there and with only a $5 entrance each, its not always worth the effort!

First off, reckon we should keep it at $5 to try and get as many people as involved as possible. I believe Monday night's was when the last one's took place and thats the best night for me so we'll try and keep it at that night and start at around 8pm. I've suggested 2 Monday's time so hopefully everyone will be o.k with that but it wont be set-up until i have 10 definete's on the list.

Who's in?

Oh, we've been using Ladbrokes which is the one of the better one's around so can either download the software from Ladbrokes Poker or my preferred choice the Poker Million site both which are run by Ladbrokes.

Gents, for those interested in joining Kev and Paul on the table, bear in mind that Ladbrokes run a few good offers that it's worth taking advantage of.

Oh, forgot to mention that if you do sign up and complete the "profile" - with a picture - you get $25 for about 5 minutes work. Well worth doing IMO.

When you say $5 to enter, is that all the potential loss? Is it $5 and then extra cash to play?

Don't worry the $5 dollars is the total cost, well it will be around $5.50 coz laddies take a small fee from each entrant.

But thats it, everyone gets 1500 chips to play with and we just try to knock each other out - the last two/three left in share the pot!

If you have not played much or even at all don't worry - its very easy with the software prompting you when you need to do something....you can't really go wrong or do anything out of turn.

Theres loads of poker tips and rules site on the web and progs on tv and magazines - just do a little research and you will be fine!

If you download the software, you can practice playing the completely free "play money" games before the 23rd!

And if you have any questions just post them here!
