Please settle a Dispute

On the train with my old man today and I was saying that were lucky that games are very rarely called of at the Hall.

My Dad then "claimed" that he went to a pre-season game in August 2000ish that was water logged and called off (Never to be played again).

Now I am convinced that my old man is wrong and the game was moved to Boots and Laces as a sort of "behind closed doors friendly".

Please can someone in the know confirm my suspicions that my old man is either on crack cocaine or has alterzimers.

It rings a bell with me. Summer storms caused a waterlogged pitch & the club didn't want to risk the quality of the surface for the whole season by playing on it. Not sure what year though, 2002 or 2003 possibly?

It was. I shot from the Hall to Boots and Laces and watched us lose 1-2. Can't remember who scored though.
