Question for you all - now it looks like we will be away for the first leg of the playoffs but if you were the manager how would you approach it? Would you sit back and play out for a draw but that goes against our superb away from this season, or would you go for the win but at the risk that we could get turned over leaving us an uphill task at the hall.

Just play our normal game as we have done the last 4 or so. We have had 3 good results and if we can get a draw against Oxford and beat Macclesfield that will be a nice little run.

Depends if Leonard gets a run out and seems sharp enough in the next 2 games for me. I'd be tempted to get him involved either starting or from the bench.

An away goal in the first leg always seems to end up being a major point in two legged games.

I'd rather we go for it and get a couple of goals, as long as we don't lose by more than 2, with away goals I'd feel confident enough coming to roots hall.

I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?3lnjq4

Theres no away goal rule in the play offs.

Im not sure Id feel confident of making up a 2 goal deficit with out without the rule...

Unless needed through injuries or suspension , I would not bring him back into the team right now.
The team are quite settled ( for once ) and playing quite well , so don't see the benefit.
Also , a big ask to expect him to be up to match speed straight away

The advantage of having Leonard back in the side would be that Sturrock could get the stability he craves from not going with 2 out and out wingers, but without playing Timlin out of position to make us more "solid".

For that reason alone it's great that Ryan Leonard is on the mend!

I dont see us dropping Hall or Mohsni though...

Yeah neither do I and I wouldn't want the manager to either. We need a settled side for the playoffs so to remain unbeaten in the last 2 games is important as Sturrock would probably stick with the same side if we avoid defeats. The players would obviously be more confident and Ryan Leonard isn't going to be match fit anyway.

Interesting question TB, I'm sure that PS must be thinking about about this already.
We have a very good away record this season, so if I was in PS's shoes I would play our normal away game and hopefully come back to RH with a positive result. Our home form this season hasn't been brilliant but recently has been good.
We should fear no one in the play offs' if that is where we end up.

four four ****ing two. Harris and eastwood will destroy the opposition, backed up by the mighty mohsni I actually feel sorry for anyone who thinks they can match us in the play offs, grant and timlin seem to be building a good understanding in the centre and ryan hall continues to provide ammunition. People are talking up crewe well ive seen them both times this season and would be chuffed to come across them, torquay are a team on there knees went down there last week and they just didnt seem to be able to muster anything would love to meet them, cheltenham are prob the ones we should look at with any trepidation as they had excellent form earlier in the season, but we smashed them a few weeks ago so again not overly fussed about them.

Yeah we have to attack, if we sit back and defend then we will deffinately concede as whenever we have tried doing that this season it has come back to haunt us in the last minute. attack is the best form of defence.

I would lay on free coaches, stop at a pub for four hours before the match and supply all away fans with yellow and blue smoke bombs and flares.

We would probably be kicked out the playoffs and receive a hefty points penalty for next season but it would be a great day out.
