PLAYERS ON TRIAL

southend4ever

I used to play a little.
I knew we had david lee training and the anselin bloke... here is a copy from our page on skysports. didn't know about other players, not been posting on here much recently so maybe it has been covered. sorry if it has.

Southend United are considering a number of trialists as they look at options to bolster their squad.
Former Shrimper David Lee, currently with Thurrock United, is training with the club with a view to sealing a return to Roots Hall.
Cedric Anselin, who has played for Norwich and Cambridge in recent seasons, is continuing his trial with the club.
Former Charlton youngster George Shelious is also trying his look on the South Coast, along with former Portsmouth trialist Zelko Popovic.

Keep up.

As far as I know Anselin has pulled his calf, popovic has left and Shelouis thankfully is a left back! Dunno if Lee is trying to come back or just keep his fitness up?

Brush said in his interview after the reserve match that Lee was only playing for the sake of playing a game not with a view of a permenant transfer.

Thats it yeah, and either Brush or Tilly said he was there to help make the numbers up!

And its been reported by Andy_S on the Ex-Shrimpers forum that David Lee has left Thurrock to join Stevenage Borough.
