Jacob Bland’s status remains unclear. Chris Phillips described him as on loan from Southend as recently as January. When he joined Concord in September Chris Phillips reported that he was unable to sign because of the embargo. If he signed a deal in between I haven’t seen that reported. He’ll be one to look out for in pre-season to see if he still here.

The Centre of Excellence is no more. This will be run by the Community Foundation. Any remaining players aren’t registered to the club.

The players not struck out were seen in pre-season so presumably remain

A Pulham appeared for Southend U18's early this pre-season, so assume he is still here

Just looking at some of those release. Archie McGonigle is playing for Ramsgate, Oscar Jones has moved to Hullbridge Sports. Zak Hammond at Deal Town

It’s possible that some of them are on loan deals. There’s been no official announcements so it’s all guess work!

GSM seems to have gone missing off the original post which has been updated…

Hopefully not a prediction of what’s to come in the summer?!

Edit - I think Gus is still there but the text appears blank for me?

So Waldron and Bonne to go in the summer

Ralph and Bridge to be offered 1 year deals.

and maybe a bid for GSM that we can't turn down, although don't think he is strong enough defensively for League 2

The rest we have to keep and prob need to sign about 6 players!

Too many players not good enough under contract to 2026

The club have been weirdly quiet.

I suspect we had a one year option that was picked up but not announced.
I was at the after party last night and Jack was the only one missing. No news on him but I suspect he'll be going.

Bridgey said he's staying on another year, Ralphy wasn't sure at the moment and will have talks. I don't think Bonne will be here from what I've heard but I didn't get a chance to talk to him.

No names mentioned coming in, but spoke with Matt (the analyst) who has a big list of players we're looking at.

I think it will be a busy summer but everyone will need a short break to refresh, it's been a crazy couple of weeks for everyone.

What many think we need and what Kev things we need are likely two different things….

Expect us to retain the vast majority of this squad. He’s very loyal, most are under contract and will feel we’ve only narrowly fallen short, so only requires a few additions, not a big rebuild.

Don’t expect Golding or Goodliffe to return. We need an experienced, vocal and physically imposing centre half to partner Taylor, with Crowther as backup.

Waldron & Wood are gone. Would be surprising if we reach agreements to cancel any under contract. Can be an expensive and not the approach COSU will take imo.

Expect us to offer Ralph and Bridge 1 +1 year deals, with triggers.

We are crying out for a goalscoring number 9. Bonne (especially with a full preseason under his belt) may offer more to squad than Walker, Hopper and Kendall but may be sacrificed depending on budgets so we can secure someone more likely to score 10-20 goals. That may be a loanee for the season, if so we need to have learnt our lesson with Pepple, who was recalled and left us weaker

Hasn't Bridge triggered an extension in his current deal - so it would just be a 1yr extension rather than 1yr + 1yr option? Unless we offer a completely new contract.

Hadn’t seen that confirmed. You may be correct. 1 year the right length from our side, we have overdone it previously with a few imo.

id sadly look to replace bridge and let him go, been underwhelming a majority of this year. id give ralph another year with a club option and tbf id give bonne a year as i think he is better than what we have..

looking at the 2026ers id prob look to lock in KAF and maybe harry taylor now, but the rest see how the year goes!

With Bonne I wouldn't give him a year because he's better than the others we have - that might be true, but imho it's not the comparison. It's is he better than what the alternatives are?
