Just to reimind the Faithful that SUFC are now in the Premiership, and kick off is at 10:00am

Premiership? We're 'avin a laff!

As proved last week, every contribution is important, and please be careful to select Southend as your team, having been promoted PFYC will default to another team* and the first time you play you will have to select Southend from the drop down menu.

*Stevenage this week, apparently!

SUFC are doing OK, just outside the UEFA places on 11 million points, which is good for the first day. Just need to dig in and post some scores now and get up into those European places - keep playing, everyone!

I should have guessed! Just checked on the list, and there are two - fh and FH both doing well. If they are both you make sure you stick to one form of your initials!

Go to the top of the page and click "play". Look down the right hand side of the screen, and you will see UK (open). Three choices next to it, Play, League Tables, and Top Scorers (or something similar to that). Click on the Scorers, and there is a list of the top 500 from all the divisions.

Legend! I'm not bad at this game, but I can never manage the sort of high scores you are clocking up.

Thanks. It's taken a long time to get those sort of scores although I have yet to reach the heady heights of 200,000 yet.

Apart from learning to actually make contact with the ball, a couple of tips for anyone playing for Southend out there which helped me.

1) After each attempted shot, Always centre your striker in the middle of the area before the next cross comes over. This will maximise your chances of at least reaching and shooting every time.

2) Once you reach 40,000 pts, you have a chance at penalties. When you take a penalty, stop the moving cursor on the letter 'O' of the word DIRECTION and add a little height by holding the mouse button down slightly longer than usual. Once you get both of those bits right you are guaranteed to score as it is always out of the keepers reach. so you can gamble the maximum pts each time.

3) Turn the sound of the game off. I found that constant 'OOH''s from near misses got me annoyed whereas a silent game gets you into a better rhythm.

That aside. Remember that every score recorded counts massive as we found out last week to the dismay of AJ from Southam.

Pah! A mere bagatelle to the mighty players of Southend! They shall not know what has hit them!

Neil's tips are excellent, by the way, and well worth following, especially the sound off and penalty ones.
