Pietersen v Moores

according to Sky, and now the Telegraph online, Kevin Pietersen's tendered his resignation as England captain.

Thought at first it was a move to try to force Moores out, but on reading it'd appear that the rest of the squad aren't as convinced as to Moores being responsible.

Any thoughts?

Amazing news. KP has obviously become too big for his boots. I wonder if he has just said he will not play as captain or if that is it for him in Test cricket whilst Moores is still there?

The loss of his as skipper we can get over (give the job to Andrew Strauss right away) but there is no denying how much we will miss him as a player if that is the case.

Feel sorry for Moores - I feel he has been a decent appointment who basically turned Sussex from total mediocrity to the side who have won the championship 3 times in the last 5 or 6 years. Wonder if he has the respect of the players however taking into account the fact he never played Test cricket.
