Pick up point on A127

DTS

The Business
Lads,

Need some help. I am off to Accrington on Sat as part of Smiffys stag do party. I'm getting a lift of some lads coming from Southend. I will be driving up from Haywards Heath and I need to think of somewhere just off the 127 to leave my car Saturday day and some of Sunday.

Main criteria are safe to leave car, as little way down 127 as possible and easy for the lads to find?

Cheers

What about Sainsburys at the Weir?
Be careful though. Some of the supermarkets offer free parking for limited periods only and have their car parks managed by outside clamping firms.
Probably safer in a pub or the Travelodge at the Half Way house where they expect long term parking.

There are a few quiet roads either side of Halfords at the Weir. Always use these for hockey away days. Always easy to get a spot.

Dave, Leave the car at my house put keys through the door and get the lads to pick you up from mine, I am sure they know where I Live

Cheers lads,

Can park at Littlemans Mums in progress road if need be but I am trying to get a bit closer to London if possible than Southend, Rayleigh etc.

West Horndon is a good shout, though if you're considering leaving it there it's best to park it up a side street rather than the main road through the village (Station Road). You could also leave it at the Halfway House on the A127/A128 junction.

There's also plenty of parking either side of the Fortune of War roundabout.

Going further towards London, if you're feeling adventurous you could park in one of the side streets in Gidea Park, just off the A127's junction with the A12 and plenty of free space if you stay away from the main road that goes towards Romford and the station.
