Photoshop

Coach
For months I've been mucking around with Photoshop trying to work it all out...everyone now seems to know how to "PhotoShop" a picture and make all sort of effects etc etc...

However, I just can't get the hang of it so now want to try and learn everything properly. I can't be arsed with doing a college course in it but am looking for a good book / CD which will help me.

Can anyone recommend any good PhotoShop tutorial books / CDs?

I got the photoshop~ tutorials from a picture type book. I can't find it yet but I'll link it when i can

Once you get to grips with layers and how they work then its easy.

What you got 6, 7 or CS ?

This is the book I use;-

Here (Photoshop 7 version)

Its quick reference stuff. But like I said , once you understand how layers build up, (make sure you have the layers menu always on display)  then it gets easier.
