Phillips keen to play a part for Blues

I definitely rate him, he was a good League 1 player and started last season well. It's a shame he's been crocked for so long, but sounds like he's working hard to make up for that and fingers crossed he'll be a useful player for us next season.

Brentford fans rated him highly - but injury prone whilst with them as well. If he can get fit and stay clear of injuries I reckon he could be the partner for Moshni with Barker reverting to left full back!

The odd occasion we saw him last season I thought he looked solid enough, as has already been said IF he can prove his fitness he will be like a new signing for us.

Phillips and Prosser started last season as first choice centre backs, and they looked ok. IF - and that's the key word here - he can stay clear of injuries for a long enough period then I think he will have the chance to prove to people that he's more than adequate.

Hope he manages to stay injury free, but his career record doesn't suggest that's likely, his best spell was 55 appearances over 2 seasons for Brentford, so if we could get 27+ games out of him that would be a big boost.

They were not first choice, they were played as Mohsni hadn't received clearance and Barker was covering for Gilbert. I do agree that they played ok together though.

I like this Echo RSS Feed poster. He always comes up with the Echo stories before anyone else.

You know i think he might be a mole or something Naps .. i don't mean one of those cute but vicious burrowing creatures but like an insider or something :sherlock:

But he never responds to his own thread. I think he just likes the attention.

Im a sure he is a tidy player but I can't help but think he has has too many knocks and we can't afford to carry and crocks. Hope inam proven wrong.

Finger crossed he stay clear of injury's etc, so we can worry about getting new forward, right winger & central midfield in as we look well covered in defense!

Well covered in defence ? We have one centre-back who does not have one or more of these deficiencies: slow, chronically injury prone, not very good, liable to be suspended, liable to be injured due to reckless way of playing.

As for the fullbacks, we have a couple who can get by on a good day but hardly "well covered".
