Phil Brown sweating on Noel Hunt's fitness

Evening Echo

The News
SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown is sweating on the fitness of striker Noel Hunt after the Irishman missed last night’s clash at Doncaster Rovers with a heel problem

This is the problem when you put all your eggs in one basket with one player. The way Brown talks about him, it seems to me he is relying on him big time in our team. It does seem strange because he is a very intelligent player but not a goal scorer, so it is baffling where Brown thinks the goals will come from, baring in mind he took off the 'poacher' type of striker after 30 mins on sat. Hurst and Weston in support of Hunt will never get enough goals if he plays 4-5-1/4-3-3. I know we are all hoping he will play 4-4-2 if Hunt gets fit but I have my doubts.

Either way, come on Hunt get fit! I haven't even see you play yet!

I agree.
I'm happy with 4-5-1 away , but really feel we should set up 4-4-2 at home.
I know it wont be right for every match , but just in general.
I think to do otherwise just sends out such a negative message and immediately puts the opposition on the front foot.
We have enough trouble breaking teams down at home as it is , but playing 4-5-1 makes it a whole lot harder.

“But when he’s right will have a player on his hands.”....... errrr what?:unsure::unsure:

Why is Phil sweating ?

He chased and chased an injury plagued forward who is hmm injured.

Not rocket science Phil.
