Arsenal have signed Petr Cech from Chelsea in a deal worth about £10m.

The Czech Republic goalkeeper, who played more than 400 club games in 11 seasons at Stamford Bridge, has joined the Gunners on a four-year contract.

That feels like a pretty good bit of business by Arsenal, should make them more of a championship threat, but a surprisingly long contract.
 
Goalies are traditionally more robust than outfielders. And Arsenal have history with older ones, Seaman went til he was in his forties. Decent deal, hope it means Ospina isn't totally sidelined, I liked him, but it gives them two decent keepers and He Whose Name Cannot Be Spelt. Who's not bad, but he looks it compared to those two.

You mean Wojciech Selzczęsny, Wojciek Szleskczęsny, Wogek Senzczęsky, yeah, I know the bloke you mean.
 
Cech has been a fantastic keeper for Chelsea, how this will go down with Chelsea fans I'm not sure.
 
Mourinho's rumoured to be absolutely raging that Abramovich has let Cech go to Arsenal, so it'll be interesting to see what happens if Arsenal do indeed mount a serious challenge for the Premier League next year. Their relationship isn't exactly great at the best of times...
 
9 years since Lehmann left and Wenger has finally realised you cannot win the title without a top class goalie. Still not sure they have a back 4 to match.
