Peter Taylor on Talksport

Anyone listening at the moment? That question to Spud from 'Karl the Shrimper' was from me. And fair play to Jeremy Kyle for posing the question, and fair play to Spud for answering it so honestly.

If you didn't listen, I asked why he felt his time with the Blues was such a failure. In summary, he replied 'players who didn't want to play for me who wanted to join Fry in Birmingham'. And you wonder why I got so upset that Judas didn't win that tools battle?

Did he elaborate on Vic Jobson at all,or how disappointed he was personally about this time at his own club?

No mention of Uncle Vic, but you could tell he was gutted to have failed at Roots Hall, and that he couldn't hold on to his best players. It opens an interesting debate - was Spud at least partially responsible for the wretched dip in form we suffered after Judas left, or is it down to the players giving up on a new manager and only having loyalty to their old boss rather than the club that pays their wages?
