Red Rep King!
It was well reported that Peter Gilbert had the hump with Bilel Mohsni after he was sent off at Oldham. Is this still the case? Did anyone notice if Gilbert congratulated Mohsni on friday for any of his goals??

Didn't see him congratulate him but he did pass to him so they're obviously buddies now.

If Peter Gilbert actually managed to complete a pass to a teammate then I'd guess their relationship is more than just buddies, and down to the power of love.

:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:.............. although , and not too loudly now please , he has been playing quite well recently ..............there I've said it.......may I be struck down

Its amazing that since Gilbert has found himself not a guarantee in the first team how his performances have dramatically improved. Im the first to admit that i wasnt a Gilbert fan but credit where its due he has been much better the last few games.

Glad Gilbert has improved, contrary to my previous post I don't think he's an awful player. He has played a lot of football at a higher level and at times this season he's done well.

Another born again Blues player perhaps. Remember when Maher was booed and then went on to have one of the best spells of his career for a number of years and left us as a legend.

Not at that class as yet but Peter Gilbert is one I would keep for next year based on his latest performances.

Exactly. This is why I choose to barrack players throughout the 90 minutes even if we are winning. Everytime I shout "Prosser you useless sh*tbag" I think to myself that just one more step on the way towards the making of this player. Tough love.

People complain about Gilbert hoofing it, and a lot of the time he does. But does anyone consider that he's just carrying out instructions?

Gilbert is a funny one. Always barking out the orders but far the best player in the back four. 2nd half against Barnet he kept shouting and having a go at Phillips and Phillips didn't look to pleased.

And I know for a fact that Bilel cannot stand Gilbert and Gilbert cannot stand Bilel.

I'd rather my defenders barked out orders than kept quiet and didn't communicate. Fans are far too precious about the perceived bollockings that Gilbert hands out during games. It's football, not a polite sit-down meal.

I am sure he has cocked up during matches and then appears to bollock his team-mates for his mistakes.

I think some his improved form does come down to competition ( Hills and a much improved Prosser ). Earlier in the season he was almost guaranteed his place no matter what happened - not the case now , which is good for everyone IMO

He also called Ryan Hall a "f***ing t**t" after not jumping for a shocking throw on in the first half. Hally didn't look to pleased about it at all.

IF true that's a) not a surprise, and b) not an issue. You can't get on with everyone you work with, but you can still work with them.

Teddy Sherringham and Andy Cole didn't even speak to eachother at Man U, but they still managed to win the league together. They would set eachother up to score, but not celebrate.

Totally agree with you on this, can be no coincidence now there's competition at LB he has improved & hats off to him for raising his game, but it begs the question shouldn't a pro footballer be playing to the best of his ability anyway not just when his livelihood is under threat? After all that is what the club are paying him for.

No doubt if Gilbert was a mute some would be complaining that he doesn't show enough "passion".
