Breaking News Pepple recalled by Luton

I can’t help but feel Luton aren’t acting in his best interests with the recall.. obviously they want him playing at a higher level which we all know he is capable of - but he’s feeling at home, booming with confidence, playing at a decent level getting experience infront of big crowds which specifically for him who has struggled to settle at a club, uprooting him and making him play to a different style half way through a season isn’t smart.

Real shame, seemed a class lad off the pitch too.
How well a striker is doing in the National League probably isn’t very useful information for a Championship club.

If he was 17/18 and it was his first loan spell, then yes maybe it would make sense for him to stay for the season.

But he is 22 and on his 4th loan spell. Presumably they will want to see if he is capable of doing it at a more meaningful level before deciding on his future.

It happens some fans need to remember they are loan players! Like Orient with Moncur i doubt they would have liked him not playing and still paying wages. Luton have the right to call him back and loan him out to a league 1/2 side or even throw him in the first team. There are players out there trust the scouting team and management to make the right decisions! Wasn't we linked to a Cashman? Is Hopper playing at Col U?

If Bim ends up being loaned to a League One club then I'd say fair enough. If its to a League two club then I'd find that baffling as the difference in quality between the majority of teams in the NL compared to L2 is negligible.
Still EFL which has more eyes watching compared to the national league. So if luton were looking to cash in at the end of the season they would get bigger fee if he proves himself in league 2.

Crap decision from Luton and a risky one that I’d argue is only in the interests of £££ and not in the best interests of Bim and his career. I hope he goes to a League 2 club and does well, as he seems like a lovely bloke and I want him to succeed. But I’m still not convinced he’s ready for that just yet and it will be sad for him and us if he spends the rest of the season barely getting a sniff at some two bob L2 club.

Can only hope that one of the other strikers steps their game up, or we get a decent replacement in sharpish. It’s a huge blow for us.

Look on the bright side, the chances of Bim being with us next season was next to zero, unless Luton decided to sell him. Trying to be realistic, promotion this season is unlikely. We now have an opportunity, if the right player becomes available to fully integrate him into the squad in time for next season. Would be great if any new signing is available to play in the FA Trophy, otherwise we could be short of options.

I hope he goes to Barrow, is miserable, scores none in 20, and we sign him on a free on a 3 year deal in the summer…

Really feel sorry for him… having to go back to Luton.

Good luck to him, seems a top bloke and should have a good career.

Now where’s my 2023/4 shirt with Dackers in the back.
