...Other than from psychological perspective...no you are right, he has been injured and obvs needs time to get fit, but bringing him on for 3 mins like we did Saturday wont help him.
Absolutely rubbish, if Luton had all their strikers got injured or ill of course he would have gone back, do you write the contracts? No football club would be that stupidNo he couldn’t.
There was a one week window for Luton to recall him. As of Monday, all parties agreed for him to stay for the season and then discuss come the summer.
Comes across as rude and ...... did you read and interpret BW's post properly?Absolutely rubbish, if Luton had all their strikers got injured or ill of course he would have gone back, do you write the contracts? No football club would be that stupid
Unfortunately when the same person keeps telling you that you don't know what you are talking about, you do get a bit spiky.Comes across as rude and ...... did you read and interpret BW's post properly?
Never go back - it’s never the same second time round. Fans want players they have seen before because it’s all they know. Our recruitment team should have a wider knowledge of players that are out there - if they are doing their job.ALL THIS GET cards back nonsense , do you think he would come back on a 50% reduced wage, think he would rather get splinters in his *** . Hes probably getting paid twice as much at FGR than he was getting here .
Agreed and I’d hope we’re looking at all available options and that we have several targets (given all we were told about our amazing scouting network). But Cardwell only left a few months ago, not like it’s asking for Kelman to return. It won’t happen but Christ I’d take him over Bonne right now, just for a few months, if some loan back deal could be agreed (which I highly doubt).Never go back - it’s never the same second time round. If you lend someone something it's still yours, Luton paid good money for him and probably pay nearly all his wages, most probably in the thousands a week. I cannot see how any club would sign away any rights they have just to help out the club they are doing a favour for.I think you’ll find it’s common practice in most “long term” loan deals…..
But hey, it’s absolutely rubbish after all, no football club would be that stupid.
Or put another way in the league for example 7 starts 12 sub appearances 900 minutes = equivalent 10 games.21 games and counting - never seen a striker look less like scoring in any season in 30 + years
Just to be clear, you have actually seen the contract between us and Luton?Absolutely rubbish, if Luton had all their strikers got injured or ill of course he would have gone back, do you write the contracts? No football club would be that stupid
Of course not, but has anyone on here seen it. But signing away your rights to something you own would be madness. He's a loan signing not a permanent dealJust to be clear, you have actually seen the contract between us and Luton?
We all hope of course, but it won't happen.Or put another way in the league for example 7 starts 12 sub appearances 900 minutes = equivalent 10 games.
I’m sure we would all hope the goals come as they have in the past including at Championship level.
Players get recalled from loans all the time in football. It's normal, we've done it too.Of course not, but has anyone on here seen it. But signing away your rights to something you own would be madness. He's a loan signing not a permanent deal
Agreed. He is getting a decent opportunity maybe every 3 matches and hardly any half chances (all of which he fluffs). I know there is a lack of quality into him at times, but he is less likely than many other strikers to get “lucky” and one go in off his bum. I’m a firm believer that a huge amount of the time people make their own luck.We all hope of course, but it won't happen.
People are talking about his goalscoring record like it is impressive - we are talking about a guy who hasn't had a consistently good season since 18/19.
However, he clearly has the capability to be a lot better than he is currently showing - I'll grant you he has also scored a handful of goals at Championship and League One level (most notably at Ipswich), but you just look at his movement, body language and positioning, and it just looks like it will never happen for him.

It doesn't make sense, that's why you shouldn't rely on something that you don't own?
If Bim would have scored 20+ goals and Luton were struggling to score, no club would sign such deal that they couldn't recall any time.
There used to be the “emergency” loan, which was in effect a short term loan similar to what we have for Golding. Long term loans as you suggest do tend to come with more assurance. Going up to the top flight teams often pay a fee for the loan which can run into several £m so clearly the loanee club needs more assurance than “we are bringing them back as we need to fill the bench in case we need to use all of our 37 available subs”I think you’ll find it’s common practice in most “long term” loan deals…..
