Got a text late last night from one of my former uni housemates. He's a massive Plymouth fan and actually sold his house to their captain Paul Wotton. Apparantly he was out last night and bumped into him and had a pint. Think he must have given me a mention and started talking about Southend. Apparantly Wotton reckons Freddy's overrated and that we're gonna be rooted to the bottom of the league all season.

So who's with me in wanting Freddy to bag a hattrick and then sing "Wotton, Wotton...whats the score?"

Strange how Plymouth have that attitude about us when to be honest they did what we have just done, albeit a few years earlier. A core of their team have been with them on their rise through the divisions and they've managed to keep Championship status with a team of largely non household names.

Indeed glasgow and the fact Wotton is one of those very players makes it even more insulting!
