He was sure Southend would be promoted this season and wished us all the best. I told him he had nothing to worry about in Lg 1 as they had Danny Webb. He laughed! He carried on laughing for a few moments and then said its only Dave Webb he cares about and that he hopes Webby senior sorts his contract out soon. As an aside, his view as a professional was that Kevin Maher is an extremely good player. We agreed on that one!
