Paul Scholes to Stoke City ?

makes sense for the ginger-ninja. he'll have a year there and then probably head to Oldham

Scholes was interviewed in the Telegraph last week saying that he intends to play one more year at Man Utd and retire. Apparently, the whole Oldham thing is a red herring too; he used to go to Boundary Park with his dad if they couldn't get tickets for Old Trafford, but he's always been a Man Utd fan first and foremost.

That really surprises me because I've seen it mentioned in various sources and even directly quoted from the man himself that he's a Latics fan first and foremost.

Fair-do's. I'm actually a bit disapointed with that. I quite liked the idea of him playing for Man Utd and coming off the pitch eager to find out the Oldham score.

Yeah, it seemed to get mentioned so much I was convinced he was an Oldham fan.

Likewise. Makes me wonder if the Neville brothers are genuine Bury fans too or if that's just one of those urban myths.

Their Dad was involved with Bury in an official capacity but I'd never heard they were avid fans themselves. Always had Gormless, sorry - Gary, down as a hardcore Man Utd fan.
