Paul Brush 'having words' with Anthony Grant?

Big Albert

Youth Team⭐
Did anyone else sitting in East Red or Green notice Brush and Grant had "words" when walking off yesterday at the end of the game? Grant looked very hacked off after PB spoke to him.

It might be because grant was bought on hold onto the ball. He started off this way but when in injury time he tried putting crosses into the box. Brush might have been annoyed as they could have broke away and scored when it needed to be kept at the corner flag

Eh? He spent the last two minutes of stoppage time holding onto the ball in the South-West corner.

I cant think it was for that, Francis and Grant had it in the corner for a good 2 minutes, very good time wasting.

EDIT: What Beefy said.

Agree with Beefy and f_h
Grant and Francis done really well at holding the ball in the corner for the last couple of minutes.

Grant always looks hacked off! ;)

From my position next to the bench, there was no indication that they were unhappy with Grant's time on the bench whatsoever.

I did notice though that Tilly was far more "up and at them" and showed more urgency on the touchline. He was giving encouragement and generally providing far more communication to the players for the 90 than he ever did last season. Was nice to see.

Us in East Blacks noticed. Brush seemed to gesture with his arm in a circling movement as it to suggest Grant might do a turn round and acknowledge the South Stand suuporters, rather than make a quick exit from the arena.

Grant did not seem to want to do so and it appeared as you say he was a little hacked off, as if he will be doing that when playing a bigger part in proceedings ?

Granty wasn't hacked off just before he replaced Walker, as he gave Tin Bath and I a thumbs-up and a smile when we shouted out "Good luck Snoop"...

Didn't see the alleged incident with Brush, but otherwise I thought Grant looked really pleased to be here - he had a huge smile on his face even just messing around during the half-time warmups. Like others, I can't see anything he did wrong after coming on that deserves much criticism.

No crticism intended or implied, just observation on his leaving the field of play. Don't know why he was hacked off for sure, but he pulled his arm away when Brush tried to put his arm around him, and he sure was not happy about something.

Probably didn't sign up with us to be a reserve ;)

He should have been on the pitch all game imho in place of Moussa. There was no competition judging by the two's performances at Billericay, Grant was class in that game.
