PAUL Brush has been dismissed as Southend United's assistant manager.
Brush has worked alongside Blues boss Steve Tilson since November 2003 and helped the club win two successive promotions to work their way in to the Championship.
The Shrimpers, who have not been helped by off the field problems, have struggled this season though and, after losing 3-0 at Hartlepool United on Saturday, they slipped into the League One relegation zone.
