On OS. Played his last game for us then.
I'm sure MattLloyd will be on to sulk and whinge and moan later :winking:
As you all know I rate Paterson and am very disappointed that he has not been give a run of games to get goals for us.
Getting away from Southend is probably the best for the lad, loads of football and a few more goals will do him the world of good.
He's got another year of his contract left, wonder if he'll come back to us?
This is all about money and I know this for fact.
I won't state who told me as he attends Board Meetings though Beefy is aware of who this is just to verify that I am not talking boll**ks - though I am not overly bothered if you believe it or not.
Paterson is our highest paid player - fact.
Stockport are paying 25% of his salary with us liable, though not necessarily paying, the balance.
He was bought in as the player to replace Barnard, so I can see that we would have paid decent wages for him, despite our financial problems. If its true it's a bad move from the club and Pato should be sold as soon as possibleIf Pato was brought in on a contract bigger than Grant's then that is a totally and utterly obsurd thing to do.

27 league games is more than enough.

In his 10 League appearances under Sturrock, he has been allowed an average of just under 32 minutes on the pitch per game. Fair crack of the whip? I'd say not.
