Parking at the Hall on Saturday

DTS

The Business
For the first time in donkeys years I am driving the DtS love jeep up to Roots Hall as my usual lift is on holiday.

We usually park behind the North Bank but as I am on my lonesome this week might need to do something different.

Can anyone give me a point of somewhere decent to park. Need easy access to the 127 on the way home as need to be home in world record time after the game.

Was thinking of the school near the ground that is £5.

Cheers

Turn right at the Bell lights up Hobleythick Lane. 1st left, 1st right, park at the top of the road before the bend. Little alleyway on your right takes you to the top of Hobleythick Lane. Walk to the lights, chuck a left and down to The Hall

Yep I'd recommend around Hobleythick lane/hospital for some street parking and it's easy to get away from there

Southend High School for Boys. £5 towards school funds. Tell them you are in a hurry after the game and they will let you park on the drive.

When you come out turn right. But do not go down Hobkythick Lane. Keep going all the way (couple of miles) until you go past Belfairs Park/Golf course. Next left at the lights takes you down to the A127 at Progress Road. Much quicker.

SHSB as others have said for a fiver, but if you can get to Westboro' Juniors, it's less.

even quicker is to turn right after Tommy More's, then cut down by Camping and General straight onto the A127. By Belfairs park the traffic lights are a bit slow to turn down the Fairway, especially when busy... or some Moose with a 4x4 and 10 screaming kids is trying to park next to the Pitch and Putt!

wrong side of RH if you want a quick exit to the A127 though

Not really, Fairfax Drive then Southbourne (or is it Westbourne, can never remember) Grove up at the lights at Tesco. Or even better, all the way along past the Westcliff Highs and up to the Old Vienna and Belfairs, round the Fairway and on at Progress Road.

Tell you what as a woman and 'apparently' an expert give dave a lift home!

Fairfax is a slow after a game, you definitely want to avoid it if making a quick get away.

We go that way every week, yes, it is a little slow up to that double set of lights but once past there it's easy.
